About Us

Bláthanna is an Irish language arts project located in the gaeltacht quarter of Derry….. the cultural heartland of the city - a treasure house of all that is best in heritage and culture.

At Bláthanna we organise a range of arts events including an arts education programme of classes, masterclasses and workshops, a summer school, festivals and other arts events.

Bláthanna’s main aims and objectives are to encourage and nurture all forms of artistic activity, to heighten awareness of Irish language arts and culture, to develop literary discussion and artistic interpretation and to provide access to Irish language arts events to all sections of the community - the experience offered is of the highest quality.
